Regular Season Round 25: Rio Natura Mnb. - Valencia 79-91
Date: March 27, 2016
Very expected game in Santoago de Comp where 15th ranked Blusens Monbus (7-18) was defeated by second ranked Valencia Basket (22-3) 91-79. The game was mostly controlled by Valencia Basket. Blusens Monbus was better in second period 23-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a very good performance for American center Justin Hamilton (213-90, college: LSU, agency: Priority Sports) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 7 rebounds. American-Lithuanian forward John Shurna (204-90, college: Northwestern, agency: Priority Sports) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American-Italian forward Angelo Caloiaro (205-89, college: USF, agency: Pensack Sports) answered with 12 points and Lithuanian forward Eimantas Bendzius (205-90) added 12 points in the effort for Blusens Monbus. Blusens Monbus' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Valencia Basket maintains second place with 22-3 record behind leader FC Barcelona. Blusens Monbus lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the sixteenth position with 18 games lost. Valencia Basket's next round opponent will be Sevilla (#13) at home which should be an easy win for them. Blusens Monbus will play against Gran Canaria and hope to win that game.
