Regular Season Round 24: Provence Basket - Hyeres-Toulon 65-88

An interesting game for Hyeres-Toulon (18-6) which played road game in Fos-sur-Mer against 4th ranked Provence Basket (14-10). First ranked Hyeres-Toulon had an easy win 88-65. The game without a history. Hyeres-Toulon led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 23-of-25 free shots (92.0 percent) during the game, while Provence Basket only scored seven points from the stripe. 24 personal fouls committed by Provence Basket helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for center Jonathan Tornato (210-89) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 7 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). American swingman Chris Dowe (193-91, college: Bellarmine) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Hyeres-Toulon's coach Kyle Milling felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American-Nigerian Derrick Obasohan (203-81, college: Texas Arlington, agency: Beo Basket) replied with 19 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Jean-Baptiste Maille (189-93) added 9 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Provence Basket. Five Hyeres-Toulon and four Provence Basket players scored in double figures. Hyeres-Toulon have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 18-6 record. Provence Basket at the other side keeps the fourth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Le Portel. Hyeres-Toulon are looking forward to face Denain Voltaire (#15) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Provence Basket will play against Chorale de Roanne (#17) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
