Regular Season Round 10: Culiacan - Obregon 72-64

An interesting game took place in Culiacan where 7th ranked Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon (3-4) was upset on the court of tenth ranked Caballeros de Culiacan (2-5) 72-64. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Benjamin Puckett (205-83, college: Clayton St.) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). The other American import guard Gregory Howard (193-89, college: Walsh) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Howard is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Four Caballeros de Culiacan players scored in double figures. Caballeros de Culiacan's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Naturalized American swingman Adam Arciniega (201, college: Bethel, KS) replied with 26 points and American Damon Smith (200-88, college: Mary) added 16 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon. Caballeros de Culiacan moved-up to ninth place. Newly promoted Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. Caballeros de Culiacan's next round opponent will be again higher ranked Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon (#8) at home and it may be quite challenging game.
