Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Elitzur Yavne (6-18) lost at home to tenth ranked Hasharon (10-14) 89-71 on Tuesday. Hasharon forced 20 Elitzur Yavne turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Elitzur Yavne's players. The winners were led by American forward Billy McShepard (208-87, college: Valdosta St., agency: Blacktop Management) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import forward Lorenzo Gordon (201-83, college: Oklahoma City) supported him with 23 points and 6 rebounds. Hasharon's coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 20 points and 4 assists by naturalized American guard Andrew Fogel (188-85, college: Mercyhurst) did not help to save the game for Elitzur Yavne. Yariv Amiram (203-94) added 10 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hasharon moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Hapoel Kazrin. Elitzur Yavne lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 18 games lost. Hasharon will meet at home Hasharon (#11) in the next round. Elitzur Yavne will play against Hapoel Kfar Saba and hope to secure a win.
