Finals Game 3: Alba Iulia - Sf.Gheorghe 53-86

Sf.Gheorghe celebrated the Liga Nationala title. They handed the third consecutive defeat to Alba Iulia in the championship series to complete the sweep. Therefore Sf.Gheorghe clinched both League and Cup titles this season. Sf.Gheorghe led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Sf.Gheorghe outrebounded Alba Iulia 37-22 including a 26-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Tyaunna Marshall (175-92, college: Georgia Tech) who led her team to a victory scoring 21 points and 6 rebounds. International point guard Annemarie Parau (172-84) helped adding 14 points and 10 assists. Four Sf.Gheorghe players scored in double figures. Sf.Gheorghe's coach Zoran Mikes felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was the former international Sonia Ursu (175-93) with 21 points and FYR Macedonian Jelena Antic (187-91, college: Liberty) scored 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists.
