Very expected game when 11th ranked Hasharon (9-15) lost to second ranked Ironi Kiryat Ata (18-6) in Hod Hasharon 76-83 on Tuesday. Ironi Kiryat Ata looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The winners were led by American power forward Dallis Joyner (203-90, college: Stony Brook) who scored that evening 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks and Tomer Ginat (202-94) supported him with 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Ironi Kiryat Ata players scored in double figures. Even a triple-double of 18 points, 17 rebounds and 11 assists by American guard Isaiah Sykes (198-91, college: Cent.Florida, agency: CGL Sports) did not help to save the game for Hasharon. Tal Lapidot (-96) added 17 points. Ironi Kiryat Ata maintains second position with 18-6 record behind leader Galil Gilboa. Hasharon lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 15 games lost. Ironi Kiryat Ata will meet at home Maccabi Raanana (#5) in the next round. Hasharon will play against Hasharon (#9) in Ramat Hasharon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
