Very expected game when 8th ranked Vivo/Franca (13-15) was smashed on the road by second ranked Paschoalotto/Bauru (21-7) 103-78 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Paschoalotto/Bauru. Vivo/Franca managed to win third quarter 27-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Paschoalotto/Bauru shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 51.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Vivo/Franca's players. The former international guard Alex Garcia (191-80, agency: Interperformances) notched 18 points and 6 assists to lead the effort and naturalized Italian point guard Paulinho Boracini (183-84) supported him with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Paschoalotto/Bauru players scored in double figures. Even 21 points and 6 rebounds by center Douglas Kurtz (213-87, college: Hawaii) did not help to save the game for Vivo/Franca. The former international point guard Welington Dos Santos (185-81) added 16 points and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Paschoalotto/Bauru have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 21-7 record having just two points less than leader Flamengo. Loser Vivo/Franca keeps the eighth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Rio Claro.
