Regular Season Round 26: Rouen - Gravelines 84-85

Seventeenth-ranked SPO Rouen (5-21) made lots of trouble for sixth ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (17-9) on Tuesday. The visitors from Gravelines managed to secure only one-point victory 85-84. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 24-13. But SPO Rouen won second period 25-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Gravelines-Dunkerque made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. American center Graham Brown (206-84, college: Michigan) had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import Steven Gray (196-89, college: Gonzaga) chipped in 18 points during the contest. American Ronald Lewis (193-84, college: Ohio St., agency: Pensack Sports) responded with 27 points and 5 assists (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!) and the former international center Alain Koffi (207-83, agency: Beo Basket) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Five Gravelines-Dunkerque and four SPO Rouen players scored in double figures. Gravelines-Dunkerque have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. SPO Rouen lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth position with 21 games lost. Gravelines-Dunkerque will meet at home Cholet Basket (#15) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. SPO Rouen will play against Chalon/Saor and hope to secure a win.
