Regular Season Round 24: Hapoel Migd.H. - Hapoel K/S 87-71

There was a small surprise when ninth ranked Hapoel Migd.H. (11-13) won against 7th ranked Hapoel Kfar Saba (11-13) in Tarshicha 87-71 on Tuesday. Hapoel Migd.H. made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. The winners were led by Nigerian forward Andy Ogide (204-87, college: Colorado St., agency: HMS) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds and guard Itamar Mor (188-94) supported him with 21 points and 5 rebounds. Four Hapoel Migd.H. players scored in double figures. Hapoel Migd.H.'s coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even a double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds by American guard Vernon Teel (193-87, college: Loyola Mary) did not help to save the game for Hapoel Kfar Saba. His fellow American import center DeAngelo Riley (206-88, college: Azusa Pacific) added 17 points, 7 rebounds and 7 blocks. Hapoel Migd.H. have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Hapoel K/S. Hapoel Migd.H. will meet league's leader Galil Gilboa in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Hapoel Kfar Saba will play against Elitzur Yavne (#13) and hope to secure a win.
