Regular Season Round 28: Audentese/N. - Rapla 50-83
Date: March 29, 2016
Bottom-ranked Audentese/N. (0-30) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 83-50 loss to fourth ranked Rapla (17-14) in Tallinn on Tuesday evening. The game without a history. Rapla led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Rapla forced 24 Audentese/N. turnovers and outrebounded them 38-26 including a 16-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Dutch center Thomas van der Mars (208-90, college: Portland) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds and American forward Maurice Kemp (203-91, college: E.Carolina) who added 19 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side point guard Siim-Markus Post (185-97) responded with 11 points and 5 assists and Taavi Jurkatamm (200-97) scored 12 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Rapla maintains fourth position with 17-14 record. Loser Audentese/N. still closes the standings. Rapla will meet at home Parnu (#6) in the next round. Audentese/N. will play against Valga and hopes to get finally their first victory.
