Regular Season Round 24: Hapoel B/S - Hapoel G/A 89-61

The most important game in the last round took place in Beer Sheva between third ranked Hapoel Afula (17-7) and fourth ranked Hapoel B/S (17-7) on Wednesday night. Hapoel Afula was crushed by Hapoel B/S on the road 61-89. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Hapoel Afula. Hapoel B/S made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Hapoel Afula 44-31 including a 34-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Hapoel B/S looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for American guard Paul Marigney (192-82, college: St.Mary's, CA) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds. Yaniv Solomon contributed with 18 points and 4 steals for the winners. Hapoel B/S's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Darrius Morrow (203-90, college: E.Carolina, agency: Three Eye Sports) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds and point guard Adir Cohen (180-95) added 12 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Hapoel Afula. Hapoel B/S moved-up to third place, which they share with Hapoel G/A. Hapoel B/S is looking forward to face Hapoel Kazrin (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hapoel Afula will play against Ironi Ramat Gan (#6) and is hoping to win this game.
