Bottom-ranked CB Prat managed to get a ninth victory on Friday night. This time they edged twelfth-ranked Castello in Castellon 69-68. Castello was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. CB Prat forced 19 Castello turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when CB Prat made 8 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Gerbert Marti (203-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and guard Agustin Sans (195-95) who added 9 points during the contest. At the losing side American forward Brandon Garrett (206-90, college: Murray St., agency: Duran International) responded with 13 points and 8 rebounds and American-Nigerian forward Zimmy Nwogbo (201-91, college: Cedarville, agency: Duran International) scored 13 points. Four Castello players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. CB Prat (9-19) moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Forca Lleida and Planasa NV. Castello lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth position with 16 games lost. CB Prat is looking forward to face higher ranked Lobe Huesca (#6) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Castello will play against Cocinas.com (#13) in Logrono and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
