The most exciting game of round 8 in the Total League took place in Stadrbredimus. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 3rd ranked Musel Pikes (16-9) to fifth ranked Basket Esch (13-12) 85-82 on Saturday evening. The guests trailed by 8 points after three quarters before their 19-8 charge, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great shooting night for Basket Esch especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. The best player for the winners was American swingman Zeke Upshaw (198-91, college: Hofstra) who scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. Serbian-Hungarian Momcilo Latinovic (198-89, college: N.Mexico Highlands, agency: Mansfield and Associates) chipped in 21 points. Four Basket Esch players scored in double figures. American swingman Jarmar Gulley (196-91, college: Missouri St., agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) produced 25 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and his fellow American import power forward Clancy Rugg (203-91, college: Vermont, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) added 21 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Basket Esch maintains fifth position in League with 13-12 record. Musel Pikes at the other side keeps the third place with nine games lost. Basket Esch are looking forward to face league's leader Amicale in Steinsel in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Musel Pikes will play on the road against Sparta in Bertrange and is hoping to win this game.
