Second Stage Round 14: Norrort - Ostersund 81-76

The most important game in the last round took place in Taby between second ranked Ostersund (14-6) and seventh ranked Taby Basket (8-12) on Saturday night. Ostersund was defeated by Taby Basket in a tough game on the road 76-81. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Ostersund. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Ostersund won fourth quarter 18-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Taby Basket forced 22 Ostersund turnovers. Guard Jonas Ehlde (188-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points. Point guard Kevin Taylor Lundgren (185-94) contributed with 13 points and 6 assists for the winners. Center Mattias Markusson (217-96) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 17 rebounds and forward Olle Lundqvist (199-99) added 16 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals in the effort for Ostersund. Four Ostersund players scored in double figures. Ostersund's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Taby Basket moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Lobas. Newly promoted Ostersund keeps the second position with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
