Second Stage Round 2: Louaize - Tadamon 66-76

An exciting game was played in Zouk Mosbeh. Tadamon faced Louaize. Guests from (11-7) defeated host Louaize (4-14) 76-66. It looked good early as Louaize took a 3-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Tadamon had a 18-14 second period charge getting the lead and Louaize was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 66-76. Serbian power forward Vladan Vukosavljevic (206-84, agency: Beo Basket) notched a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and Serbian swingman Branko Cvetkovic (200-84) supported him with 22 points. Even a double-double of 29 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists by American guard Geron Johnson (190-92, college: Memphis) did not help to save the game for Louaize. His fellow American import forward Alex Okafor (202-87, college: Princeton) added 16 points and 7 rebounds for the hosts. Tadamon's next round opponent will be Homenetmen in Beirut and it will be for sure the game of the week. Louaize will play on the road against Byblos and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
