There was no surprise when 7th ranked BGEU-RCOR (6-20) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Vitebsk (19-7) 88-78 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Vitebsk. BGEU-RCOR managed to win second period 23-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Vitebsk forced 20 BGEU-RCOR turnovers. Forward Victor Ovsepyan (204-91) scored 19 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Sergey Sapegin (195-84) chipped in 16 points during the contest. Vitebsk's coach used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. At the losing side forward Yaraslau Kurapau (200-91) responded with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds and the former international guard Siarhei Vabishchevich (192-88) scored 25 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Vitebsk have an impressive 14-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 19-7 record. BGEU-RCOR lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 20 games lost.
