Another exciting game was between fourth ranked Meridiano Alicante and 5th ranked CB Granada where Meridiano Alicante (15-10) beat CB Granada (14-11) on the road 80-74. CB Granada was ahead by 19 points after three quarters before a 58-33 charge of Meridiano Alicante, which allowed them to win the game. CB Granada was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Eduardo Guillen (201-88, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Point guard Javier Hernandez (182-92) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Guard Bernardo Castillo (196-88) answered with 17 points and 4 assists and American forward Duane James (196-83, college: Binghamton, agency: Duran International) added 16 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for CB Granada. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Meridiano Alicante.
