Regular Season Round 25: Boulogne - Poitiers 70-82

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Boulogne-sur-Mer where seventh ranked Poitiers (14-11) defeated 6th ranked SO Maritime Boulogne (14-12) 82-70 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Poitiers. SO Maritime Boulogne was better in fourth quarter 23-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American-British power forward Laurence Ekperigin (201-88, college: Le Moyne) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and American point guard Darrin Dorsey (188, college: Dakota Wesleyan) chipped in 17 points, 7 assists and 4 steals. Four Poitiers players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international center Ferdinand Prenom (203-91) responded with 15 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Arthur Rozenfeld (180-95) scored 18 points. Poitiers moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Provence Basket. SO Maritime Boulogne lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with 12 games lost. Poitiers will face Denain Voltaire (#14) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. SO Maritime Boulogne will play against the league's leader Hyeres-Toulon (#1) and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the ProA just one year after relegation.
