The game in Rethymno was also quite interesting. Third ranked Aris (19-6) played at the court of 7th ranked AGOR (11-15). Aris managed to secure a 5-point victory 88-83 on Saturday. Aris shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. The game was dominated by American players. Forward Okaro White (206-92, college: Florida St., agency: Comsport) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and guard Jerel McNeal (191-87, college: Marquette) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side guard Rashad Madden (196-92, college: Arkansas) responded with 15 points and 6 rebounds and Darius Carter (202-92, college: Wichita St.) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Five Aris and four AGOR players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Aris maintains third place with 19-6 record having five points less than leader Olympiacos. Loser AGOR dropped to the eighth position with 15 games lost. Aris will meet at home Kolossos (#7) in the next round. AGOR will play against the league's leader Olympiacos in Athens and hope to secure a win.
