Regular Season Round 27: Tortona - Casalpusterlengo 77-76

Ninth-ranked Casalpusterlengo (12-15) gave a tough game to second ranked Tortona (18-9). Tortona managed to secure only one-point victory 77-76. However their fans expected much easier game. It was an exceptional evening for the former international power forward Luca Garri (207-82) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. American forward DeMon Brooks (202-92, college: Davidson) accounted for 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Four Tortona players scored in double figures. Power forward Mitchell Poletti (205-88) came up with 24 points and 6 rebounds and Luca Vencato (195-95) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Casalpusterlengo in the defeat. Tortona maintains second place in A2 with 18-9 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Scafati. Casalpusterlengo at the other side dropped to the tenth position with 15 games lost. Tortona will play against Angelico Biella (#8) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Casalpusterlengo will play against Mens Sana Siena and hopes to get back on the winning track.
