The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth ranked Nantes Reze's (10-12) road victory over 9th ranked Hainaut (8-13) 64-58 on Saturday. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 23-14. But Hainaut won fourth quarter 16-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Spanish swingman Queralt Casas (177-92) had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Latvian power forward Aija Putnina (191-88, agency: Josep and Nicolas) chipped in 15 points during the contest. At the losing side DR Congolese power forward Pauline Akonga Nsimbo (188-82, agency: LBM Management) responded with 19 points and 7 rebounds and American center Porsha Roberts (188-93, college: SF Austin) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Nantes Reze have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain eighth position with 10-12 record. Hainaut lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 13 games lost. Nantes Reze will meet at home higher ranked Charleville-Mez. (#5) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Hainaut will play against Nice (#4) and hope to secure a win.
