Very important is a road loss of second ranked GDKO Bizkaia (19-5) against ninth ranked Real Celta Vigo (12-12) on Saturday night. Visiting GDKO Bizkaia was defeated by Real Celta Vigo in Vigo 69-59. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of GDKO Bizkaia. The game was mostly controlled by Real Celta Vigo. GDKO Bizkaia was better in third quarter 15-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The winners were led by American-Nigerian guard Sarah Ogoke (178-90, college: So.Poly State) who scored that evening 17 points and 7 rebounds and Cristina Loureiro (183-94) supported her with 16 points. Even 26 points and 7 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) by American Margaret Roundtree (183-88, college: Gardner-Webb) did not help to save the game for GDKO Bizkaia. Naturalized Paraguayan guard Claudia Aponte (175-91, agency: Josep and Nicolas) added 12 points. Real Celta Vigo have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place in Group A, which they share with Ensino. GDKO Bizkaia at the other side keeps the second position with five games lost. They share it with Araski AES. Real Celta Vigo will play against league's second-placed Araski AES in Vitoria-Gasteiz in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. GDKO Bizkaia will play at home against Arxil Pontevedra and hopes to get back on the winning track.
