Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked C.Adelantados (16-8) beat on the road 8th ranked Arxil Pontevedra (11-13) 79-70 on Saturday. The game without a history. C.Adelantados led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Tyonna Outland (173-92, college: CSU Bakersfield) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and Mali center Minata Keita (190-89) who added 16 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Maria Lago (-92) with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and American-Jamaican power forward Yanique Gordon (193-91, college: Cent.Florida) scored 5 points and 17 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. C.Adelantados moved-up to fourth place in Group A, which they share with Aros Leon. Loser Arxil Pontevedra dropped to the ninth position with 13 games lost. C.Adelantados will face Adareva (#6) in SC Laguna in the next round. Arxil Pontevedra will play on the road against GDKO Bizkaia in Galdakao and hope to win that game.
