Very expected game in Mont de Marsan where 12th ranked Angers (5-17) was rolled over by sixth ranked Basket Landes (14-8) 72-50 on Saturday. Basket Landes dominated on the defensive end, holding Angers to just 6 points in fourth quarter. They outrebounded Angers 38-25 including 29 on the defensive glass. Latvian forward Gunta Basko-Melnbarde (181-80, college: Siena, agency: Josep and Nicolas) scored 24 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Croatian center Iva Sliskovic (190-84, college: S.Carolina) chipped in 8 points and 9 rebounds during the contest.
