There was no surprise when 12th ranked FIATC Joventut (10-16) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Unicaja Malaga (14-12) 70-59 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 34-19 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Unicaja Malaga dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to FIATC Joventut's 32. The best player for the winners was American-Georgian Will Thomas (203-86, agency: Two Points) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. The former international forward Carlos Suarez (203-86, agency: Court Side) chipped in 9 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists.
