Regular Season Round 27: Scafati Cesarano - Cassino 60-81

There was no surprise when 6th ranked Scafati Cesarano (16-11) was outplayed at home by fourth ranked Cassino (19-8) 81-60 on Sunday. Cassino outrebounded Scafati Cesarano 36-25 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. It was a great evening for naturalized Argentinian swingman Manuel Carrizo (198-80, agency: Players Group) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Filiberto Dri (190-89) helped adding 16 points and 10 rebounds. The best for the losing side was center Biagio Sergio (199-86) with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Ernesto Carrichiello (195-84) scored 17 points. Cassino maintains fourth place in B with 19-8 record. Newly promoted Scafati Cesarano keeps the sixth position with 11 games lost. Cassino will face Empoli (#9) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Scafati Cesarano will play against Venafro and hope to win that game.
