Regular Season Round 27: Aurora Bsk Jesi - Bologna Etern. 87-100

Very expected game when 14th ranked Aurora Bsk Jesi (8-19) was defeated at home by ninth ranked Bologna Etern. (15-12) 100-87 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Bologna Etern.. Aurora Bsk Jesi was better in second period 23-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Bologna Etern. shot 61.8 percent from the field and made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. It was a great evening for American swingman Jonte Flowers (196-85, college: Winona St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points. Point guard Leonardo Candi (190-97) helped adding 20 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). The best for the losing side was guard Marco Santiangeli (193-91) with 27 points and American forward Neiko Hunter (201-90, college: Middle Tenn.St., agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Bologna Etern. moved-up to eighth place in A2. Loser Aurora Bsk Jesi keeps the fourteenth position with 19 games lost. Bologna Etern. will face Recanati (#15) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Aurora Bsk Jesi will play against Trieste and hope to win that game.
