Cedevita (1-0) crushed at home Kvarner (0-1) by 47 points 107-60, which is the biggest margin this round. It looked good early as Kvarner took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Cedevita had a 29-9 second period charge getting the lead and Kvarner was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 60-107. Cedevita dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Kvarner's 28 and made 26-of-32 charity shots (81.3 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Kvarner 40-21 including a 27-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Luka Zoric (211-84) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). International power forward Marko Arapovic (207-96) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Five Cedevita players scored in double figures. The former international guard Sinisa Stemberger (196-79) answered with 7 points and 8 assists and the former international power forward Sime Spralja (205-83, agency: Court Side) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Kvarner. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cedevita's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Zagreb KK Zagreb.
