Second Stage Round 14: Lobas - Brahe Basket 94-47

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Lobas (8-12) crushed 9th ranked Brahe Basket (1-20) in Lomma 94-47 on Sunday. The game without a history. Lobas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Brahe Basket's 22 and made 21-of-23 free shots (91.3 percent) during the game, while Brahe Basket only scored four points from the stripe. They outrebounded Brahe Basket 60-26 including a 19-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Lobas looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 3 passes made by Brahe Basket's players. Guard Jesper Wennerholm (188-96) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Power forward Maxim Moracanin (199-96) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) for the winners. Four Lobas players scored in double figures. Lobas' coach Jorgen Lillieholm felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Vahe Gazigian replied with 12 points and Karl Ble Cato (-94) added 13 points in the effort for Brahe Basket. Lobas moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Norrort. Brahe Basket lost twelfth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 20 games lost. Lobas will face Helsingborg (#6) on the road in the next round.
