Regular Season Round 27: Ferrara - Roseto 87-85

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Roseto (17-10) against eleventh ranked Bondi Ferrara (13-15) on Sunday night. Visiting Roseto was edged by Bondi Ferrara in a tough game in Ferrara 85-87. Roseto cut a 16-point halftime deficit to two at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was Nigerian-American Ike Joseph Udanoh (203-89, college: Wayne St., MI, agency: HMS) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Swedish-American Erik Rush (197-88, college: Montana St.) chipped in 21 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Kyle Weaver (198-86, college: Washington St.) who recorded 17 points and 8 rebounds and international swingman Pierpaolo Marini (193-93) added 19 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Four Bondi Ferrara and five Roseto players scored in double figures. Bondi Ferrara maintains eleventh place in A2 with 13-15 record. Loser Roseto dropped to the fifth position with ten games lost. Bondi Ferrara will meet Matera (#16) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Roseto will play against Ravenna (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
