Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked Palermo (18-9) beat at home 14th ranked Isernia (4-23) 93-75 on Sunday. Palermo made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Palermo outrebounded Isernia 42-25 including a 32-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Isernia's players. It was a great evening for naturalized Argentinian center Federico Requena (204-86, agency: Players Group) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Edoardo Di Emidio (190-93) helped adding 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Palermo players scored in double figures. Palermo's coach Gianluca Tucci used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was forward Giovanni Esposito (204-94) with 17 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Alessandro Guagliardi (194-94) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Palermo moved-up to fourth place in B, which they share with Crema. Loser Isernia dropped to the fifteenth position with 23 games lost. Palermo will face Viterbo SA (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Isernia will play against Scauri and hope to win that game.
