We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 12th ranked Faenza (10-17) was edged at home by thirteenth ranked Bottegone (9-18) 74-73 on Sunday. Bottegone had a 26-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for power forward Fiorello Toppo (198-80) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Simone Fiorito (200-91, agency: SPORTlab Agency) helped adding 15 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was swingman Daniele Casadei (199-81) with 14 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals and guard Giovanni Penserini (193-88) scored 17 points. Four Faenza players scored in double figures. Bottegone moved-up to eleventh place in B, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Faenza keeps the twelfth position with 17 games lost. Bottegone will face higher ranked Monsummano (#9) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Faenza will play against Livorno and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
