Regular Season Round 27: FCM Ferentino - Latina Basket 92-74

Very predictable result when fourth ranked FCM Ferentino (17-10) defeated at home 9th ranked Latina Basket (12-15) 92-74 on Sunday. The game without a history. FCM Ferentino led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Latina Basket's 38 and made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. FCM Ferentino looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for American point guard Timothy Bowers (188-82, college: Mississippi St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international point guard Matteo Imbro (192-94) helped adding 14 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. FCM Ferentino's coach Luca Ansaloni used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was point guard Lorenzo Uglietti (190-94) with 19 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Riccardo Tavernelli (190-91) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Five FCM Ferentino and four Latina Basket players scored in double figures. FCM Ferentino moved-up to third place in A2. Loser Latina Basket dropped to the eleventh position with 15 games lost. FCM Ferentino will face Omegna (#15) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Latina Basket will play against Virtus Roma (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
