Regular Season Round 27: Porto S.Elpidio - Vasto 60-59

The game between closely ranked teams ended with eleventh ranked Porto S.Elpidio's (11-16) home victory over 12th ranked Vasto (8-19) 60-59 on Sunday. Porto S.Elpidio looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for guard Lorenzo Andreani (190-87) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 8 assists. Forward Diego Torresi (200-92) helped adding 2 points, 16 rebounds and 8 assists. The best for the losing side was naturalized Serbian forward Marko Jovancic (195-93) with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and center Andrea Casettari (200-85) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds. Porto S.Elpidio moved-up to ninth place in B, which they share with Desio and Varese Coels. Loser Vasto dropped to the fourteenth position with 19 games lost. Porto S.Elpidio will face higher ranked Senigallia (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Vasto will play against Campli (#4) and hope to win that game.
