Bottom-ranked Gipuzkoa managed to get a fifth victory, breaking the six-game losing streak. This time they edged eleventh-ranked Andorra in San Sebastian 83-80. The hosts were ahead by 2 points but lost the second period ending it with a 2-point deficit before their 22-17 run, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great shooting night for Gipuzkoa especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. Point guard Pedro Llompart (185-82) orchestrated the victory by scoring 12 points and 7 assists. Guard Txemi Urtasun (193-84) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Gipuzkoa will play against higher ranked Sevilla (#13) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Andorra will play against UCAM Murcia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
