Regular Season Round 27: Scauri - Roma Luiss 79-87

There was a small surprise when tenth ranked Roma Luiss (14-13) defeated on the road 7th ranked Scauri (15-11) 87-79 on Sunday. Roma Luiss dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Scauri's 44. It was a great evening for Leonardo Marcon (189-95) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points and 9 rebounds. Power forward Francesco Ramenghi (209-92) helped adding 25 points and 9 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field). Roma Luiss' coach Andrea Paccarie used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was the former international power forward Simone Bagnoli (205-81) with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and guard Andrea Lombardo (195-90) scored 20 points. Four Scauri players scored in double figures. Roma Luiss maintains tenth place in B with 14-13 record. Newly promoted Scauri keeps the seventh position with 11 games lost. Roma Luiss' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Roma Roma S.Azzurra.
