Regular Season Round 22: Toulouse - Nice 74-84

There was no surprise when 11th ranked Toulouse (5-17) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Nice (16-6) 84-74 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 7 points at the halftime before their 44-27 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. German forward Romy Baer (187-87) had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Courtney Hurt (185-90, college: VCU) chipped in 22 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American forward Tianna Hawkins (191-91, college: Maryland) responded with 25 points and 7 rebounds and guard Touty Gandega (170-91) scored 18 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Nice have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Toulouse lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 17 games lost. They share it with Angers. Nice will meet at home Hainaut (#9) in the next round where they are favorite. Toulouse will play against the league's second-placed Bourges and hope to secure a win.
