Rather expected game when 8th ranked RIG Mark (6-15) was smashed on the road by sixth ranked Helsingborg (10-9) 83-54 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 48-18 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Helsingborg dominated on the defensive end, holding RIG Mark to just 4 points in third quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to RIG Mark's 14. They outrebounded RIG Mark 41-23 including a 29-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Helsingborg especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. Forward Erik Joelsson (198-97) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Anton Persson (180-97) contributed with 16 points and 7 assists for the winners. Five Helsingborg players scored in double figures. Center Kennet Lindquist (195-98) replied with 5 points and 8 rebounds and Samuel Osarenkhoe added 11 points in the effort for RIG Mark. Helsingborg maintains sixth position with 10-9 record. Newly promoted RIG Mark keeps the eighth place with 15 games lost. Helsingborg will face Lobas (#7) in Lomma in the next round. RIG Mark will play on the road against Boras II and hope to win that game.
