Second Stage Round 3: Homenetmen - Tadamon 70-81

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Homenetmen (12-7) in Beirut on Monday night. Hosts were defeated by Tadamon (12-7) 81-70. The game was mostly controlled by Tadamon. Homenetmen managed to win fourth quarter 28-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Tadamon dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Homenetmen's 30. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a good game for Serbian swingman Branko Cvetkovic (200-84) who led his team to a victory with 36 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 6 assists. American forward Desmond Penigar (201-81, college: Utah St.) contributed with 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American guard Justin Tubbs (190-87, college: E.Tenn.St., agency: Octagon Europe) answered with 26 points and the other American import forward Dewayne Jackson (203-90, college: Morgan St., agency: Higher Vision Sports) added 19 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Homenetmen.
