Quarter-Finals Round 1: Neftochimic - Beroe 82-78

Neftochimic held off Beroe for 1-0 lead in the series. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Beroe won third quarter 19-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Neftochimic won last quarter 18-15. They made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for Ukrainian guard Olena Samburska (173-89) who helped to win the game recording 30 points and 5 rebounds. International center Stefka Miteva (191-89, agency: Josep and Nicolas) contributed with 9 points and 19 rebounds for the winners. The former international power forward Milena Tomova (187-82, college: FIU) answered with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds and the former international forward Radoslava Bachvarova (183-87, college: VCU) added 21 points and 7 rebounds (made all of her nine free throws !!!) in the effort for Beroe. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
