Regular Season Round 27: Virtus Roma - Lighthouse TR 82-83

Rather expected game when 10th ranked Virtus Roma (12-15) was edged at home by eighth ranked Lighthouse TR (14-13) 83-82 on Monday. The guests trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 83-82. It was a great evening for American point guard Keddric Mays (183-84) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points and 5 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). The former international power forward Andrea Renzi (208-89, agency: Players Group) helped adding 18 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American-Danish guard Alan Voskuil (191-86, college: Texas Tech) with 25 points and American-Nigerian Jamal Olasewere (201-91, college: LIU Brooklyn) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Lighthouse TR moved-up to seventh place in A2. Loser Virtus Roma dropped to the twelfth position with 15 games lost. Lighthouse TR will face Rieti (#13) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Virtus Roma will play against Latina Basket and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
