Regular Season Round 41: Bucaneros - Toros 87-66

The game between Top Four teams took place in La Guaira. Second ranked host Bucaneros (21-13) smashed 4th placed Toros (13-21) 87-66. The hosts trailed by 10 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 21 points. American-Lebanese power forward Jarrid Famous (209-88, college: S.Florida) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 17 rebounds for the winners and Spanish-Dominican Orlando Sanchez (206-88, college: St.John's) chipped in 17 points and 10 rebounds. American point guard Andre Barrett (180-82, college: Seton Hall) responded with 16 points and 7 assists and Dominican power forward Manuel Guzman (204-82, college: Bemidji St.) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bucaneros used an opportunity after Marinos lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Toros lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with 21 games lost. Bucaneros will face again Toros (#4) in Maracay in the next round.
