Regular Season Round 28: Le Havre - Chalon 70-95

There was no surprise when 18th ranked STB Le Havre (1-27) was outplayed at home by eighth ranked Chalon/Saor (18-10) 95-70 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 25 points. Chalon/Saor outrebounded STB Le Havre 38-21 including 24 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Devin Booker (203-91, college: Clemson) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import point guard John Roberson (180-88, college: Texas Tech) who added 20 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. At the losing side center Adolphe Michel Jean-Baptiste (204-79) responded with 13 points and 6 rebounds and American point guard Henry Dugat (183-87, college: Baylor) scored 13 points and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Chalon/Saor have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. STB Le Havre lost sixteenth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 27 lost games. Chalon/Saor will face Cholet Basket (#15) at home in the next round which should be another easy win for them. STB Le Havre will play against JDA Dijon and hope to win that game.
