Second Stage Round 4: Louaize - Homenetmen 65-66

Fourth-ranked Louaize (4-16) gave a tough game to first ranked Homenetmen (13-7) in Zouk on Thursday. The visitors from Beirut managed to secure only one-point victory 66-65. However their fans expected easier game. Americans were the main players on the court. Guard Justin Tubbs (190-87, college: E.Tenn.St., agency: Octagon Europe) fired 25 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Forward Norvel Pelle (208-93, college: Iona) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Geron Johnson (190-92, college: Memphis) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists and center Wendell Lewis (208-89, college: Alabama St.) added 17 points and 12 rebounds respectively for lost side. Homenetmen maintains first position with 13-7 record. Louaize lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fourth place with 16 games lost. Homenetmen will meet at home Byblos (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Louaize's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Zouk to the arena Tadamon.
