There was no surprise in Willeton where 9th ranked Cougars (1-4) were outplayed by top-ranked Tigers (4-0) 82-55 on Friday. The game without a history. Tigers led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Cougars' 38. Tigers forced 22 Cougars turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized British forward Louella Tomlinson (193-88, college: St.Mary's, CA, agency: Regeneracom Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 32 points and 12 rebounds and Emma Gandini who added 16 points during the contest. At the losing side American forward Candace Williams (184-88, college: New Hampshire) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds and her fellow American import forward Cherridy Thornton (185-90, college: Buffalo) scored 15 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tigers maintains third position in League with 4-0 record behind leader Rockingham CF. Loser Cougars dropped to the tenth place with four games lost. Tigers will face Magic (#6) in Mandurah in the next round. Cougars will play on the road against Slammers (#12) in Bunbury and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
