Regular Season Round 4: Stirling S. - Kalamunda E.S. 70-74

Date: April 8, 2016
There was a surprise result in Leederville where tenth ranked Suns (2-3) won against higher ranked Senators (2-4) 74-70 on Friday. Suns forced 26 Senators turnovers. Strangely Senators outrebounded Suns 49-33 including 20 on the offensive glass. Senators were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Stacey Barr (173-92, college: Idaho, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 9 rebounds and Natalia Soliai who added 9 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side center Amber Land (188) responded with 20 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Tegan Walker (178-82) scored 8 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Suns moved-up to seventh place in League. Loser Senators dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. Suns will have a break next round. Senators will play at home against Redbacks (#4) and hope to win that game.
