Very expected game when 12th ranked Tokyo Cinq R. (1-45) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Iwate Big Bulls (28-20) 81-76 on Friday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Tokyo Cinq R. won third quarter 25-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Iwate Big Bulls won last quarter 21-18. Tokyo Cinq R. was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Alandise Harris (198-90, college: Arkansas) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and Nigerian forward Abdullahi Kuso (206-84, college: Tallahassee CC) chipped in 19 points and 13 rebounds. Iwate Big Bulls' coach Geoffrey Katsuhisa used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American guard Andre Murray (188-87, college: Portland St.) responded with 30 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import center John Florveus (211-90, college: Georgia) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. Iwate Big Bulls maintains sixth place with 28-20 record. Tokyo Cinq R. lost their 35th game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with 45 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
