There was no surprise when bottom-ranked BA CoE (0-1) was defeated at home by fourth ranked Ballarat Miners (2-1) 97-79 on Friday. BA CoE was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American swingman Ollie Bailey (201-85, college: Oklahoma City) stepped up and scored 24 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and Guamanian-American guard Earnest Ross (196-91, college: Missouri, agency: Inception Sports) chipped in 27 points and 6 steals. Swingman Jack White (194-97) responded with 20 points and 6 rebounds and Lat Mayen Nai scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Ballarat Miners moved-up to third place in League. Loser BA CoE still closes the standings with one game lost. Ballarat Miners will face Sabres (#8) in Cheltenham in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
