Regular Season Round 4: BA CoE - Ballarat R. 90-73

Date: April 8, 2016
The game had a very big importance for second-ranked BA CoE as it allowed them to take a leadership position in League. BA CoE defeated 7th ranked Ballarat Rush at home 90-73. It was a great shooting night for BA CoE especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when BA CoE made 10 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Eziyoda Magbegor (176-99) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks and Jazmin Shelley who added 24 points during the contest. BA CoE's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side forward Ashleigh Spencer (-92) responded with 20 points and 7 rebounds and American center Joy Burke (196-90, college: Arizona St.) scored 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Ballarat Rush players scored in double figures. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Ballarat Rush at the other side dropped to the third place with two games lost. Ballarat Rush will play next round against Sabres trying to get back on the winning streak. BA CoE will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
