Regular Season Round 26: Provence Basket - St Chamond 64-63

Fifteenth-ranked Saint Chamond (10-16) made lots of trouble for sixth ranked Provence Basket (15-11) in Fos-sur-Mer. Provence Basket managed to secure only one-point victory 64-63. However their fans expected much easier game. Saint Chamond was ahead by 1 point after three quarters before a 16-14 charge of Provence Basket, which allowed them to win the game. American-Nigerian Derrick Obasohan (203-81, college: Texas Arlington, agency: Beo Basket) notched 13 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and American swingman Aaron Broussard (195-90, college: Seattle, agency: Stealth Sport) supported him with 6 points and 7 rebounds. Even 7 points and 10 rebounds by Cuban power forward Grismay Paumier (203-88) did not help to save the game for Saint Chamond. Power forward Pierre Pelos (205-92) added 10 points for the guests. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Provence Basket moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Poitiers. Newly promoted Saint Chamond keeps the fifteenth position with 16 games lost. Provence Basket's next round opponent will be Poitiers (#5) on the road. Saint Chamond will play against JA Vichy (#11) and hope to win that game.
